Powerful Minds

Writer's picture: Denise MarieDenise Marie

When I lose myself in thought, I want to stay there. Not that I want to stay away, but it's not often that I spend time in that realm. Thinking up fantasies, imagining fears, facing things that I know I wouldn't be able to come against in the real world.

Who's to say that our minds aren't the real world. Who's to say that the very things we think of aren't the things that we manifest into what we see daily. Evil does not exist until it does. Peace is not available until it is. Who brings and takes these things? Is it you and me? We yield peace and bring war; we create love and battle hate. These things that exist today, exist because of our minds.

If we were not thinking, the world, as we know it today, wouldn't exist. The difficult question is, is this a good or bad thing? People felt safe enough to keep their doors unlocked until they didn't. What causes the murderer to lose his sense of feeling and compassion? What synapse in his brain malfunctioned so horrifically that life, in his eyes, did not require emotion?

What if all the bad things that we see in the world today only exist because we are afraid of them? What if our fears are manifesting because we are collectively thinking about them? What will happen, if for a day, everyone only thought about peaceful things and loving kindness. Yes, I get it, I truly do. This seems like mediocre statements dragging on and on but seriously...let's reflect on our own thoughts. The parts of us that no one has access to. What lies in there?
